Dr. Reuter works at the Massachusetts General Hospital (Harvard Medical School) as a research fellow in Neurology in the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging since Aug. 2008. He holds reserach appointments at Harvard Medical, the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab (CSAIL) and the Department of Mechanical Engineering, where he stayed as postdoctoral scholar (2006-08) with a Feodor-Lynen fellowship of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. He has been awarded a prize for outstanding scientific accomplishments in 2006 at the Leibniz University Hannover where he obtained his Ph.D. in 2005 in the area of shape recognition from the faculty of electrical engineering and computer science with summa cum laude. Before that he obtained his Diplom (M.Sc.) in mathematics with a second major in computer science and a minor in business information technology from the Leibniz University of Hannover in 2001. His research interests include computational geometry and topology, biomedical imaging and vision, computer aided design, geometric modeling and computer graphics (see research and publications).
