Shape Database

MDS Plots give an impression on where the objects are located in shape space. Each object is represented by a point in 10 dimensions. To visualize the location we used multidimensional scaling (MDS) to project the point cloud onto the best fitting plane (identical to principal component analysis). Note that by using a projection whole clusters can collapse!

It can be seen that the elephant cluster collapses onto the cats. Looking at only a few clusters shows that they are furhter appart:
