shapeDNA-tria (Linux and MAC OSX Binary V.1.1)
ShapeDNA-tria is a package to compute accurate eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of the Laplace Beltrami operator using higher order FEM (with Dirichlet or Neumann boundary condition).
Features:
- Computes eigenvalues and eigenfunctions
- Up to cubic FEM for highly accurate approximation

- Global mesh refinement for coarse meshes
- Tangential smoothing for low quality meshes
- Converter: Input/Output in different file formats

- Available for non-profit research purposes.
- To download: please register with your university email address below to obtain download link.
- If you are interested in update notifications (bug fix, new version),
you can specify the box "Update Notifications" (recommended).
- The software is available as
a LINUX and MAC OSX binary only. Windows binaries are not planned in the near future.
- At some point
I plan to release the source code, but for that I need to go through the code and separate the necessary
from the uneccesary parts and library dependencies. Also I need to take a closer look at license
issues of libraries not included in this binary, but part of the whole source package which includes
much more functionality (NURBS, tetrahedra, pixel and voxel data, Laplace and Poisson equation ...).
Please do not expect anything soon.
